Voyah Showroom (2022)

Voyah (Electric Way/Sulland)

Permafrost has completed a 400m2 brand experience center for Chinese EV brand Voyah in downtown Oslo. Based on the concept of exploration, the floor plan is laid out as topographic contours on a map, creating a stylized, synthetic landscape. Visitors climb the ascending terrain, with different experiences on each level.

Freedom to explore

When we designed the Voyah Showroom in downtown Oslo, our ambition was to create a space that redefines how people encounter an automotive brand. Instead of following the traditional dealership model, we shaped the interior as a curated, contemporary environment where Scandinavian minimalism meets the expressive identity of Voyah. The topographic floor plan — inspired by contour lines on a map — forms a stylized landscape that invites visitors to move upward through a sequence of experiences, each level revealing a new perspective on the brand.

Materiality and atmosphere were central to our approach. Clean architectural lines, soft lighting, and a calm, balanced palette create a gallery‑like setting where the cars are presented as sculptural objects rather than commercial products. The space is intentionally understated, allowing visitors to slow down and explore at their own pace. Art plays an essential role in this identity: rotating exhibitions from Norwegian artists introduce texture, color, and movement, ensuring the showroom remains dynamic and culturally connected.

The result is a brand experience center that feels both premium and welcoming — a place where design, culture, and technology coexist naturally. By blending a refined spatial language with an evolving artistic layer, the Voyah Showroom becomes more than a retail environment; it becomes a living expression of the brand’s philosophy: thoughtful, modern, and quietly confident, right in the heart of Oslo.

“We designed the Voyah Showroom as a calm, contemporary space where Scandinavian architecture meets the expressive identity of the brand. The topographic floor plan, curated materials, and rotating art installations create a setting that feels both premium and welcoming. It’s a living environment shaped to elevate the visitor experience — thoughtful, modern, and unmistakably Voyah.”
