Luxo Frø(2022) is a system of light pendants built on a common, powerful light engine.

The engine is equipped with one of three distinctive light diffusors to create different lighting functions, allowing for a wide range of lighting designs.

When we developed the Luxo Nordic Collection II, our ambition was to create a family of luminaires that captures the quiet strength of Nordic nature while delivering high‑performance, contemporary lighting. At the heart of the collection is a shared light engine — a powerful, precise core that allowed us to explore different expressions through three distinct diffusors. By building on a common foundation, we could shape a system that feels unified yet flexible, capable of adapting to a wide range of architectural environments.

Each pendant in the collection reflects a different facet of the Nordic landscape. FRØ, with its clean lines and satin‑smooth finish, is designed as the sculptural centerpiece — calm, refined, and effortlessly modern. ALP draws inspiration from untamed terrain, expressed through its powder‑coated steel shade and elegant, grounded presence. LUN captures the softness of Scandinavian light, using a spherical form and diffuse glow to evoke tranquillity. Together, these luminaires form a visual language built on geometry, material honesty, and carefully crafted details.

We wanted the collection to feel both functional and poetic. The diffusors can stand alone as individual pendants or be combined to create layered compositions, offering designers freedom without complexity. Every piece is suspended directly from its power cord for quick, intuitive installation — a practical detail that supports the collection’s clean, minimal expression. For us, the Nordic Collection II is a celebration of simplicity, versatility, and the natural harmony that defines Scandinavian design.
