As part of a larger collaboration, our job has been to build a unifying design language that can be applied in multiple categories as the brand’s design evolves.
When we designed the Wilfa Performance Compact, our ambition was to create a coffee maker that brings true Scandinavian clarity into the kitchen. We focused on a compact footprint not just for practicality, but as a defining part of its visual identity — a light, unobtrusive silhouette that feels at home in any modern space. Clean lines, soft transitions, and a calm presence were essential to expressing Wilfa’s Norwegian design values in a smaller, more accessible form.
Every element was shaped with intention. The removable water tank is integrated seamlessly into the body, maintaining visual balance even when handled daily. Matte surfaces and subtle contrasts give the machine a refined, contemporary character without overwhelming the countertop. We wanted the Performance Compact to feel honest and intuitive — a tool that elevates the brewing ritual through simplicity rather than complexity.
Inside, the machine is engineered for consistency, delivering a reliable flavor profile cup after cup. But for us, performance and aesthetics are inseparable.
