Gaitline
The World Cup Pro (2022) is the first design in a new generation of Gaitline sneaker built around the IgnitePRO midsole material. The new, ultralight foam offers improved responsiveness and cushioning, allowing us to design sneakers with a new, superior level of comfort.
When we created the Gaitline World Cup Pro, our ambition was to define a new generation of Gaitline footwear — one built around the possibilities unlocked by the IgnitePRO midsole. This ultralight, highly responsive foam allowed us to rethink comfort from the inside out, shaping a sneaker that feels energetic yet grounded, athletic yet unmistakably Scandinavian. From the beginning, we wanted a design that expressed pure form and pure function in equal measure.
The silhouette grew from a desire for clarity. Clean lines, layered textures, and a calm, versatile palette give the shoe a modern athletic identity without unnecessary noise. The 3D‑knitted upper was sculpted to wrap the foot seamlessly, creating a breathable, tactile surface that feels crafted rather than assembled. Structural elements — such as the TPU midfoot support and the defined heel geometry — were integrated as part of the visual language, giving the shoe a sense of stability and purpose without adding visual weight.
Every detail was shaped to communicate motion. The smooth midsole geometry, balanced proportions, and subtle transitions all reinforce the idea of a sneaker designed to move effortlessly between active performance and everyday urban wear. For us, the World Cup Pro represents a harmonious blend of engineering and aesthetics — a calm, contemporary sneaker that looks as supportive as it feels, and one that embodies the quiet confidence of Scandinavian design.
We designed the World Cup Pro to express the next evolution of Gaitline: lighter, more responsive, and shaped for effortless movement. The IgnitePRO midsole, the sculpted heel geometry, and the seamless 3D‑knit upper all work together to create a calm, modern silhouette that feels as supportive as it looks.
